- Apple to Address Security Issues in iOS 6.1.2 Update in the Next Week or So A German blog reported today that Apple is going to release iOS 6.1.2 sometime next week in order to address both the Microsoft Exchange bug and passcode vulnerability. The report states that the update will arrive sometime before February 21st. [9to5 Mac]
- Skype Video Messages Launches for Mac, iPhone, and Android (Hands-On) Skype's new Video Message feature is now live for iOS, Android, and Mac. Users can now send three-minute long recorded video messages to each other, with the option to download and save them on the Mac client. However, you'll only get twenty free messages?after that, you'll have to shell out $4.99/month to subscribe to Skype Premium to continue using the feature. [The Verge]
- BitTorrent Sharpens Enterprise Focus, Launches SoShare To Send Large Files, Offering First Terabyte Free Today BitTorrent launched a new service for sending large files from one computer to another. Called SoShare, it's currently out in beta and built on BitTorrents P2P framework. While in beta, the service will be free and allow users to send up to a terabyte of data, and host it for thirty days at a time. [TechCrunch]
- A World of Hurt After McAfee Mistakenly Revokes Key for Signing Mac Apps An error made by a McAfee employee has resulted in all McAfee users on OS X having their digital key for app certification revoked. As a result, until the problem is fixed, users have no way of telling if a certificate is genuine or not.
